December Retreat --          Dec. 6 to 8, 2024

Interested in a few days of interruption free quilting with some other members of our guild? 

 

Openings still available for the Temecula Quilting Retreat at the Vina de Lestonac Retreat Center in Temecula.
Check-in is Friday December 6 after 10AM, check out is Sunday December 8 by 2pm.  Meals start with dinner on Friday, breakfast, lunch and dinner on Saturday and brunch on Sunday.  This is a great opportunity to catch up with holiday gifts (you can quilt 24 hours a day if you wish!).   You can do shopping in Temecula to buy quilt supplies or do some holiday shopping.  And some of us (or all) can go to a wine tasting at Danza del Sol, down the hill from the Retreat Center.  
 
Retreat fees are $360 per person double occupancy, or $510 per person single occupancy.
 
Deposits are due by August 30.    Deposit for a single room is $102 and for the double room is $72.00.

November Retreat 2021

November Retreat in Temecula

Nineteen members got together for the guild's annual November retreat at Vina de Lestonnac Retreat Center in Temecula. It is a wonderful time to focus on projects, visit with friends and explore the local quilt shops.  In addition there are games to win -- what else -- fabric and a chance to try some new projects.  This year Claire Victor demonstrated a wool cactus pincushion and Kathy Dunham demonstrated a thread catcher.

 

And of course there are the local wineries to visit and the hot air balloons to watch in the mornings.  The Modern Quilt Guild of LA were sewing in the room across the way and both guilds got together for a happy hour.  

Guild Summer Retreat - 2018

Ten of our guild members attended the summer retreat at Vina de Lestonnac Retreat Center in Temecula.  In addition to their own varied projects and playing games, each participant did one or more blocks for a charity quilt.  (We also talked one of the quilters from the Orange County group in the classroom across the way into doing a block from the accucut squares and triangle that had been prepared for the quilt!)

November Guild Retreat-2017

The Coachella Valley Quilt Guild has an annual retreat in November at the Vina de Lestonnac Convent in Temecula.  The retreat center there has a wonderful view across the valleys filled with vineyards and there are even hot air balloons to decorate the still morning skies.  Lots of sewing (and socializing) takes place in the large classroom along with games and trips to the local quilt shops.  (There are three close by.)  Here are pictures from our 2017 retreat.
